Ciao! My name is Christina and I am a junior at the Catholic University of America, which is located in Washington DC. I am an Architecture major who is set on graduating in the spring of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture along with a Sustainability Studies minor.
I decided to leave the marbled monuments and high-stressed politicos in the streets of Washington to travel to the medieval cobblestone streets of Rome. This semester I will be studying abroad in Roma, Italy and traveling around Europe for four months! I chose to study abroad because I am passionate about understanding how not only the past influences architecture, but also how the culture and the people influence this beautiful mix of art, science and understanding. I’m hopeful that my future endeavors have many opportunities for travel, but I am extremely thankful that my adventure begins here, in Italia.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy taking some time out of your week to check out my study abroad blog. You can also follow some of my experiences by checking out my Instagram account, @helloitstinaa. I also encourage you to leave your questions and comments, as it will reassure me that I’m doing a good job of documenting my travels!
